Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to move a bathroom sink over about 12 inches? Moving the sink would make a significant difference in the spaciousness of our very small second floor bathroom. Thanks.

Only problem would be the shut off valves, can you still keep them under the sink when it's moved?
If so, all you need is longer supply lines for the hot and cold water. You can splice into the drain pipe to add needed pipe for that. If it's PVC pipe that makes it that much easier.
The cabinet should have screws in the top band board which are screwed into the wall studs.

The sink is a pedestal sink without a cabinet, so the shut off values and all visible plumbing would be under the sink and going into the wall. I'm guessing that we would have to tear out some wall and route the pipes. Wall repair is no big deal for me.
