Just installed my wide pine floors this weekend. Each board was individually stained prior to install with a high quality oil-based stain. I am getting ready to apply 4 coats of Tung Oil, but prior to doing so I need to clean the floors. What would you recommend to do so.

Also, the dog tracked some paint on the floor, which I cleaned up imediately with some mineral spirits. This seems to have had no visible impact on the floor, but just wanted to make sure there will be no issues when the Tung is applied.

Mineral spirits is fine for the dog situation as well as general cleaning prior to applying the oil.Make sure it fully dries but once it does you're good to go.
