Howdy-

I saw that great post response from Kobuchi regarding how to acheive 'basketball' court shiny floors. Sounds like great advice.

Question: don't you need to open windows or run the furnace to remove the fumes, or do you just stay out of the house for two days and air out when you come back?

Main questions:

1. How big are these sanders that you rent? How do you do, for example, a small coat closest or around the door jambs? Are you supposed to use a small palm or belt sander for these small places?

2. Do most refinishing jobs involve removing quarterround or does it stay in place? If it stays, how do you sand it? (or do people even do that?)

3. I read about someone who said that their contractor would 'fill any gaps'. Do you really need to worry about filling 1mm gaps, for example?
