Hello,
A few winters ago I installed a Honeywell HE265 humidifier. I also have a Honeywell H8909B Humidistat which I will be wall mounting. The furnace is a Tempstar NTC6100GFG. The installation instructions have NTC6/GNE & NTN6/NNE listed on the installation booklet so I'm not sure which one it is (or if it even matters for our purposes). I have never wired it b/c I'm afraid I'll damage the furnace but I found this site & was glad to see it indeed can be done with a little guidance :) Up until this winter the dryness in my house was not a factor, but has become an issue as of late. I also have a baby on the way and I don't want the house this dry.
I have the transformer that came with the unit connected to a power source. From what I understand I do not need this since I can just use the HUM terminal on the furnace. The furnace has a "HUM" terminal (along with "EAC" & two "N" terminals, see bottom left of wiring diagram).
I have my heat set to run the fan when the heat is on (i.e., fan does not run all the time). On the humidistat there are two black wires as well as on the humidifier unit (solenoid valve).
I have 18 gauge, 2 conductor thermostat wire, is this OK to use? How would I make the connections? Also if I'm to use the HUM terminal I'll need a connector to put on the end of the wire but are there different sizes or are those for a furnace standard?
The links to the various diagrams are below. Thank you for the help.

Sorry for such a long post but I wanted to give as much info as I had.
Thanks for your help, Moe.
ps think of responding as if I need "wiring for dummies," I won't be offended :)

On your furnace you are going to need the Transfromer.
One wire from transfromer to HUM or EAC, other wire to N on the board.
Then the two wire 18ga on transfromer. Red to humidstat. then another set of two wire from the humidifier valve Red to humidstat. The white from humidifer wire nut to white wire to transfromer.
It's best to mount this humidstat on to the return ductwork to get a better avg. reading from the whole home.
HUM will only power up the humidifer when the burners are going.
EAC will power the humidifer any time the blower is running.
PS, thanks for the great link of the wire diagram!
