Had a friend tell me that HD had this on close-out. Looked at it, still had the warranty and all 8mm looked good. Friend said that they were discontinueing that color. Went and looked at othe dicount sites and they had this brand/color anywhere from 1.49 to 2.29.... Planning on also doing front room and halls. Need some input. Good product, good deal or both. Thanks for the input. Mike

we put down (diy) TrafficMaster by Shaw from HD and were very pleased. we paid $1.99 about 4 years ago. installation was easy (buy the kit & follow directions to the T), it looked great & cleaned up nicely.

obviously, even at 1.99, it's not considered the upper-end highest quality laminate out there, but we were pleased. it was a huge improvement over the existing old, ugly sheet vinyl in the kitchen, and the dingy old carpet in the dining room.

just be sure to buy plenty to finish your job (accounting for waste and the occasional damaged plank [although i don't recall finding any damaged planks in our batch]) and still have extra to save for any future repairs.
