All the toilets in our home are 141/2" heigh. Today the toilets are 17 - 20" heigh. I DO NOT want to add a 3" toilet seat. I would prefer not to buy a new toilet. ( All my toilets are one piece). Is it possible to raise the toilet from the base, adding needed plumbing? If so, how is this done? Thank you.

Building a base, extending the plumbing, reinstalling a flange, making the base look good, you will have the expense and trouble of purchasing a 17 1/2" tall unit and installing it. Plus it will look good, whereas the base probably won't.

The taller comfort height toilets are not that expensive. You'll save time, money and a whole lot of aggravation by replacing the toilet, as compared to doing what you are proposing. I agree with Larry on this one.
