I picked up a HE 260 A to install the other day. There is limited space around my furnace. The template to cut the duct is essentially the width of the return duct - or at least the side of the duct I have access to (narrow side of the duct). Which means I could probably squeeze it in there, but only be able to secure it to the duct using the top and bottom holes in the unit and not the side.
I do have central air, with coils installed in the supply and there is not enough room above the coils to install the humidifier. Is it possible to just install it on the opposite side of the duct?
Or should I just find a smaller unit?
Anyone have and ideas on how I should procede?

You can put the humidifer on the larger side of the return, and then use elbow to make your turn to the front of the supply (or where ever you are tapping the by pass to).

Thanks Jay. Got it fitted last night and wired up to run off the furnace.
Everything was running fine, except the water line to the humidifier keeps popping off whenever the humidifier would stop running. I'm using the plastic white line that came with the Honeywell install kit currently. I was planning on switching over to use copper instead, guess I'll be doing that sooner rather than later. Guess I should get rid of the saddle valve while I'm at it.
Would switching to copper allow for a better connection using the compression fittings?

Did you put The small metal tube inside the plastic line?? put the compression sleeve over the tube. It works for us all the time.

Yup, the little metal tube was in there. I did use the plastic 'rings' (not sure what they're called) instead of the brass ones though, maybe that had something to do with it.
Just finished puttting in the copper line with a proper shut off valve, everything is holding together so far.
I have to say though, it is a little noiser with the copper line compared to the plastic one.
