Hello,
I just switched my HE220A to a HE365B POWERED FLOW-THROUGH HUMIDIFIER.. When I hook it up to the old H908A Manual humidistat all works fine.. I cant get the H1008A humidistat to work...
I have a Heil H9MPD075F12A3 92% furnace..

I ran a new outlet to the EAC for the power..

also did...
G wired to the G on the furnace

C/W wire to the C on the furnace

W wire to the W on the furnace

Red to Red from Humidifier to humidistat
Yellow to Yellow from Humidifier to humidistat

When its all hooked up I see water draining but the Humidifier fan and humidistat wont power on....but when I wire nut the Yellow to Yellow togher from out of the Humidifier it all works..

Please help...
Thanks,
Tom

Ok, sounds like you may got a bad humidistat. Get a replacement.

Yes, C will have the outdoor a/c going to it.

Do you know a way I can test the humidistat?

Read the last page, "Test Mode"

Also, do you have a meter to make sure the Red Wires feeding Hot/Com on the humidistat has power

I am having a similar experience with this thermostat. Mine comes on randomly, runs for 30 seconds then goes off. I have several wiring schemes on paper, but Jay and you are consistent... why won't it work? If yours starts working correctly let me know. I replaced one H1008A form the dealer and had the same problem, either they are all bad, or the wiring is wrong. Bob

I honestly don't know what to say? I never seen these in person, and I am going off what I downloaded for install manual.

I kinda know a guy at HOneywell, I'll ask and see what he has to say.

I have the same humidifier and set up, but I did not wire an outlet off of the EAC. My question is... does the EAC have power all of the time? or only when the furnace has a call for heat?

Kind Regards,
Tony

EAC will power any time the blower itself is running, where the HUM will have power when the gas valve is on.

The H1008 automatic humidistat must be powered all the time so that the humidicalc-software can run. So if it's wired through the EAC, that outlet will not be on all of the time. The humidifier needs to be powered all of the time because the humidistat is powered by the humidifier. My humidifier is plugged into an outlet before the furnace and it working as it should.

Kind regards,
Tony

Tony, you are right about the H1008 needing power to run it's program.
