I found some accessories I am in love with but my faucets are silver and these have an antique looking band of gold around the edges. What would be the best way to make this a brushed silver look?

by "accessories", what do you mean? soap dispenser or towel bars? and what are they made of? metal or resin?

Generally these types of surfaces don't paint well.
You might get away with painting a little bit of detail but alot depends on the type of surface and usuage.
