I have a natural gas forced hot air heat. When the thermostat get below the tempature I have it set to, the burners fire and a little while later the blower starts and the heat comes on. Everything works fine for that. However, I have noticed every one in a while, when the thermostat is still above the temp I have it set to, the blower will come on for 15 seconds or so. It's just the blower and not the burners. What could this be? The thermostat is new and it did it with the old one too.
Thanks

sounds like you got an older furnace that has the fan/limit control.

You may have a limit "ON" set too low, and the warmth of the pilot light in the heat exchanger turning the fan on to cool down the area.

There is a silver box with a dial of temps.. See what the tabs are set at.
