My wife and I just put some 6X6 green ceramic tile (looks like fake slate, it's textured) on the bathroom wall. We just finished grouting, and will be sealing the grout in a few days. I have the color matched caulk to apply around the edges/corners and will be putting that on today or tomorrow. While wiping the grout residue off with a damp sponge, we decided we like the "wet" look of the tile better than the dry look on the tile, and are considering getting a sealer to apply to the tile so it retains the "wet" look.
What order should I apply all this stuff; should I caulk the edges, seal the grout and then apply the sealer to the tile?
Is there a sealer that does both, or is it a seperate one for both the grout and the tile?
Thanks,
RJ

Usually the wet look is used on natural stone tile because the sealer will soak into the tile. On a ceramic tile that is glazed the sealer wont soak into anything, it will form a streaky layer on the surface and quickly wear off. If there is a new sealer on the market that works on glazed ceramic tile, I am unaware of it and would appreciate hearing from others if they know of one that actually works and lasts.
