I have an Ammana Terminal Package unit in my gameroom over the garage. It is like the ones that you find in hotel rooms. I would like to put it on a remote thermostat instead of using the local controls that are on the unit. I need some help getting the right thermostat and with the hook up of it. In the past I have replaced the mercury switch type thermostat on my house unit with a programmable one and that went smooth. I tried to use the old mercury swith thermostat on this package unit but it didn't seem to work right and I am not sure if they are compatable or in maybe I have the connection wrong.

I have the manual the the package unit and I thought I was hooking it up as the diagram showed. Here is the info that I can give someone that might be able to help me make some progress.

Unit: Ammana Package Terminal Air Conditioner / Heat Pump
Model number: PTH153A35AA

Terminals that are on the unit for remote thermostat hookup are as follows:
RC, FD, RS, B, Y/W1, W2, G, R, C

Terminals on thermostat that I am try to use are:
R, T, O, G, Y, X2, B, U, W, F There is a jumper on U and W

The manual shows schematic for hook up of thermostat and shows the following connections:

control board connections on left side
thermostat connections on right side

R-------------R
G-------------G
W2-----------W2
Y/W1----------Y and W1
B-------------B

One of my problems is that the thermostat I am trying to use has a W terminal but not a W1 and W2 as the diagram shows.

That is about all I can give you for now. I can email pics of the diagram that is the manual or any other info that someone might need. I don't mind getting a new thermostat. I would like to get an inexpensive one though. So any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
