Hi, Recently I purchased a house which has DSC PC1550 installed. I have manuals but no master code and installation code. The system is currently power switched off from basement electric panel.

1. When I try to switch on the power from main electric panel of the house for the security system, the siren starts and have to switch off again and can't proceed further. Question : How to silent the siren when I power on the system

2. How to reset the master and installation or access code to factory default so that I can start working on it.

Any pointer will be useful.... Thanks.

It sounds like the system was in alarm when the power was shut off.
If you want to turn it on without the siren sounding just disconnect it from the terminal label BELL+. This may cause a bell "trouble" but will not keep you from programming.

This information is straight from the installers manual (page 13 on mine):

If the installer’s code is forgotten and a software reset cannot be
performed, the panel can be reset to the factory default values with
the following method.
1. Remove all power, AC and battery, from the panel.
2. Short the pads on the panel labelled EEPROM RESET.
3. While maintaining the short, power-up the panel and wait for
at least 10 seconds before removing the short.
4. Upon removal of the short, the keypad buzzer will beep and
the panel will be reset to the factory default values.

Good luck
