I would like to tie a couple of sensors indicating the open/closed status for my two garage doors to my DSC 832. I have an 8 zone LED keypad. I don’t need to control the doors. I don’t need to know which door is open. I am only concerned in knowing that both doors are closed or that one (or both) is open. I think a couple of NO switches in series could work. The difficulty is in getting the circuit back to the panel. It is on the other side of the house and on a different floor.
I saw a post in this forum suggesting use of a wireless "bridge receiver". The links to the recommended/example products didn't work in that post. The discussion didn’t indicate if combining multiple switches as I suggested abovewould be possible.
Any suggestions and links to example products are appreciated.
Thanks.

As long as the wiring between the two sets of contacts are not overly long (less then 10ft) most wireless transmitters have provision for external hardwired contacts.
An example of such a wireless add on receiver go to www.linearcorp.com and follow their links for wireless security solutions.
