Hi,

A family member had to have a pre-finished engineered wood floor installed on concrete slab redone. The floor was carefully sanded and 3 coats of semi gloss oil base poly applied. The final coat was a high gloss poly. This final coat seems to be filled with tinny air bubbles. This does not seem to be correct to me but I am not an expert at this. Any thoughts?

Thanks

The air bubbles should go away when fully cured.

If they don't, then it could be a few things.

They did not properly clean the floor prior to applying the poly.

ANY dust, particles, etc will show up in the poly if not properly cleaned.

Cleaning is a major preperation step before applying finish.
