I have a carrier AC/Heat and even when I disconnect the thermistat, the fan keeps running and the heat states on. I opened the thermistat, thereby disconnecting ALL of the wire connections and it keeps running.

Which "fan" are you talking about...the compressor fan or the blower fan in the inside unit?

Check the board inside . You dont say if its the condenser unit outside or is it the electric EME inside that is staying on. Also be the defrost board or the contactor out there. You have a lot of IFS IFS here.

It's the blower fan in the unit under the house.

Check the blower relay or board in the unit.

Thanks, I'll give it a look tomorrow. I don't want to cause it to stop now with the temp as it is, I would rather have the fan run than the heat stop.

1st - Sorry for the long delay, I was out of town.
I went under the house and removed the circuit board. I checked the fan relay and the NO and NC were correct, neither was stuck shut or open. The board looked good and none of the componets looked burned.
What next.
