I have a PTAC Unit in my wifes shop. It is a Freidmans .I have noticed the heat pump is not trying to run it is just on strip heat.I know a heat pumps can only do so much then the strips aid it in a split system. I was wondering if it should not be the same for the ptac?
Thanks in advance

Yes the pump should come on first. Id say check the wire schematic on it and see just what or how it should work. Some old slipin units just had electric heat in them.
