Has anyone souped up this engine? It only produces 310 hp while the GSI pumps out 385. I'm looking for suggestions. K&n air filter spark arrestors claim they can increase 10%, has anyone actually done this? Does installing the contained fresh water cooling system have any effect on performance? Any feedback would be appreciated.

This is my 3rd cruiser, my last one was a 25 SeaRay that I beefed up with a 304 votec.. but this boat is bigger and heavier, a 98 Monterey 276 that could use a little more help.
