In a previous thread MrRonFL said
If you hear a series of 10 clicks from the telco relay, then the installer lockout was set, and you might as well stop there, because, short of a lucky guess at the installer code, you cannot default the installer code.
I will take this is that i am dead in the water. I have a new home, the installation was part of the builders package but the system was never powered up. I got that far from the other threads and found that the "10 clicks" were my next stumbling block.
The alarm company here wants $300 plus to come out and power up and set "remove the builder’s code" that seems a bit much to me.
I tried the 5555 or 1555 or 6321 and get the one short one long beep which I assume is the wrong code notification.
My fear is it will arm (which after a few buttons it started to) and i have no codes to shut it off.
thoughts?

Personally, I would simply replace the panel. You can get a the same panel including a keypad, for about 100-150 dollars.

In my opinion, the system was purchased with the house so it is yours.
The installation company should reset the installer code to factory. You may have a talk with your builder and let him know that your system is not working and it should be covered under your home warranty (at least it is in my state of AR).
It is worth a shot before spending more money on your new home.
Good luck.

I would like to know if there is a way to get the default code for the PC 1555 in my house. It was installed when the house was built and I have no master code.

Try 1234, first. If the panel was never setup for another user, the odds are pretty good that the master code was never changed from the factory default. If it works, you can use that code to change the master code to what you want. This still doesn't get you the installer code, which Ranger American is known to be pretty close with.
It _is_ possible that the installer code is still the factory default of 5555.
