Does anyone have any experience with Glass Block Wall installations. I am curious about their thermal insulation attributes compared with Thermal Window installations. Any recommendations where I can get more information? Thanks

There are a number of manufacturers, all easy to find by searching "glass block" on the web. Some offer premade sections. I think block is better than standard double insulated glass, but not by much. Lo-E, argon, triple pane all make glass a better choice thermally, but block offer higher strength, more privacy.

I have used the Owens Corning system, and it rocks! Having framed the opening on a wall to 33x33, I was able to install an even number of blocks in their system, silicone all around, and finish in 30 minutes. Go to a dealer that sells glass blocks, and you will see a "how to" sheet nearby the display. Pick up one and study it at home before you buy them just to make sure you understand what they are doing, and that the block will fit in your opening.
