When the furnace comes on it is not hot air coming from the vents.Sometimes its sort of hot other times its almost cold air.It seems to be going on and off alot too.Sometimes i hear it start and 10 seconds later it stops.30 seconds later it starts again. My heating bill is really big too.Is there a certain part of the furnace i should be looking at here?Sorry i dont know much about this kind of stuff.

You'll need to supply a little info about the furnace

Is it standing pilot
Does it make a spark to light the burners?
Does it glow inside before it starts?
Has any work been done to it recently?
Exactly how long does it run before it stops?
Does the flame go out as soon as the blower comes on?
Has the thermostat been changed?
