I have a coffee grinder that was pure white when I bought it - but in time it has "yellowed". I've tried soap and water, Mr. Clean sponge, soft-scrub with bleach, Fantastik but nothing makes a dent. What can I do?

White plastic tends to yellow with age, sunlight, oils from hands, cleaners, heat, and stains. The discoloration is permanent. I just got a black coffee grinder for those very reasons. When my white coffee maker dies, I will get a black one. Tannic acid from coffee permanently stains the interior of the basket. Discoloration from heat has discolored my white toaster. As long as our appliances continue to work well, I guess we can chalk up the discoloration to character and continue to use them.
