I'm getting ready to install a basic system, to expand on later.
The house is already wired but the system is 20 years old, so I'll use the wire but replace the components.
Ideally, I will have every hardwire door and window a zone, but for now, just to get the basics with 8 hard wire zones, will this work?
1 - Vista 20P panel
2 - 5804 remote Key fobs
1 - 5881 M Wireless zone expander (16 zones) (for the key fobs & future add-ons)
1 - 4219 Zone expander
1 - 6160V Voice Keypad
3 - Glass breaks FG-730 w/LED's (or suggestions)
1 - Smoke System sensor 2W-B
3 - Motions, should I go dual tech to reduce false alarms?
Thank you!
Mel

Looks like a good shopping list. If you can afford the dual-tech motions, get them. They are an order of magnitude more stable.

The FG-730 glass break detectors only work with single pane glass - you need newer technology for double pane insulate glass. I've picked up the Intellisense 10xx or 15xx series on eBay for reasonable prices. The Honeywell/Ademco website has a sheet in the downloadable literature that shows sensor technology and window type/capability.
