Is there a source out there that I can buy metering discs for a Kinetico water softener, other than going thru a dealer?

Where there's a will...
A few questions if you don't mind. What is your need to replace the disk? Why haven't you obtained one from a dealer? What are your water conditions? Do you want to replace the Culligan or are you speaking on behalf of someone else?
Sorry, just curious of what your dilemma is.

It's for my daughter's system. She bought a house with an existing Kinetico with a #2 disc. The well water was tested after the softener. Results were:
sodium was 97mg/l
hardness as CaCO3 was <0.33mg/l
I thought changing to the next level would reduce the regeneration thus the sodium level with minimal sacrificing of hardness.

What are your untreated water results of harness and iron. It is important to know this first.
It depends on the size of the system. Changing a disk 2 to 1 would double the volume between regenerations. Not usually recommended.
Do you know the model, eg., 2025, 2060, 4040, or an older k-30 for example? If you can't tell, thhen give me the dimensions of the tanks: diameter and height.
You can also adjust the salt dosage slighty.

Don't have the pre-softener results.
Where is the model number?
How is the salt dosage controlled? I would at least like to make an adjustment on the dosage because 97mg/l is too high.
Thanks

AndyC,
I took a picture of the unit to show you but I guess I cannot attach it using this forum. Do you have a site I could send it to?
Thanks
