I've got a Mitsubishi Projection TV VS-4544 about 5-6 years old.
Problem: There are thin RGB lines flashing on a black background. There is no picture and the sound is OK. It would have this problem occasionally and the pic would come back but lately it became permanent.
If anyone has any sugestions please let me know.
I'm thinking new tube or capacitors.

TV repair is best left for the pro's. I know this is a DIY forum, but, TV's can be very complicated. Your problem could be a bad CRT, board, IC's, or even a loose connection.
I would start by inspecting all solder joints and connections to make sure they are not burnt, and all wiring is properly hooked up.
