Anyone have any recommendations on a wireless home security system with a dialer & motion sensors?

Stick with Ademco/GE/Simon3. These seem to be the best and most reliable systems.

A couple of questions for you:
1. What type of house do you reside? ie. crawl space, attic basement 1, 2, stories
2. What type of protection would you like?
The Simon 3 and Ademco LYNX are great systems in the proper application. If there is an incident at the protected residence and the intruder finds the system all they have to do is remove it from the wall and the system will not be able to notify the central station.
Hard wired systems are the way to go if it can be accomplished. Access either in the crawl space or attic is needed.
If there is no access to either of these there are several hybrid systems that are on the market. A hybrid system needs to have a hardwired keypad, power, siren and a phone line. The can use wireless contacts and motion sensors.
Also there is the cellular back up for almost all systems if you are worried about phone lines being cut.
The GE Concord system is an excellent user friendly system and is used by many nation wide companies. www.gesecurity.com

#1 its for my summer home with a crawl space 1 story.
#2 I would like to have just motion sensors in the house and was planning on hiding the control unit in an interior wall.
The GE system has been one i have had my eye on for a while.
The access to the crawl space has a steel door and captured padlock.
I have a caretaker that the alarm would call.
Do you reccomend a fire sensor and a freeze/low temp alarm?
I appreciate any advise on the system or setup.

Have to chime in on this one...GE Simon now has a wireless dialer available (for about 2 years now) that can be mounted seperate from the control panel. This shoots down the argument of "if I can find the panel, I can disable the system". Technically it is called a Dialogue Telephone Interface Module. The panel sends a wireless signal to the DTIM when it needs to call out. The DTIM does the calling, panel doesn't need to...The other benefit to this is that you don't need to run a phone line to the panel. Simply run the phone line wherever you want to mount the DTIM (basement, closet, etc).
Yes, there is also cell backup available.

Hi, I just joined this site.
I wanted to know if anyone can recommend a wireless system with the aforementioned feature where the caller is separate and that can also dial more than one number; also beeps whenever a door is open regardless if the alarm is "active."
I'm looking to cover 3-4 doors and 3 windows with 1 or 2 motion sensors.
I've checked the GE site and couldn't find the simon. Where do I buy these systems???

Do these alarm systems allow have a speakerphone where you can monitor the interior of the house in case the alarm is tripped and the alarm calls your cell phone?
