Hello, First thanks for helping a newbie DIY'er out!!
I have the Power 832 with New 5010 board. I say new since ACS (old monitoring company wouldn't reset the installer code).
I purchased the new board and hooked it up exactly like the old one. I even labeled every cable/resistor and took pictures. She is dead on.
My problem is The siren works but when the doors are opened the alarm's siren doesn't go off. If the system is not armed. Zone 1 (entry doors) will light up on the keypad and chime as desired. When system is armed, I open the front door and nothing happens. System is still armed and NO siren, NO beeeep indicating my entry time is a tickin.....
Below is what I have done:(this is a paste from my notes I have gathered reading the manual and reading thru your answers to others in this forum, along with my reminder notes on what each does):
Reset to factory Defaults:
1) Enter *8
2) Enter Installer Code
3) Enter 999
4) Enter Installer Code
5) Enter 999
6) Panel will take a bit to reset. All passwords defaulted to Master=1234 and Installer=5010
Change Time
1) Press *6
2) Enter Master code 1234 (default)
3) Press 1
4) Enter Time in following format 00:00MMDDYY (military time of course)
5) Press #
Assign Keypads for supervision:
1) Go to installer programming *8
2) Enter installer code 5010
3) Press 000 for keypad programming
4) Press 0 for partition and slot Assignment (There are 8 Slotes available for Keypads. LED Keypads are always assigned to slot 1 while the LCD5500 is always assigned to slot 8. Keypads can be assigned to a different slot 1-8. This will enable supervision to indicate trouble if it is removed, also keypads can be assigned to operate different partitions or as a global keypad.
5) Next Enter a two digit number to specify the partition and slot assignment
1st digit Enter 0 for Global Keypad (don’t use)
Enter 1 for Partition 1
Enter 2 for Partition 2
2nd digit Enter 1-8 for slot assignment
Therefore on Foyer door I entered:
11
On Garage entrance I entered
12
Assign Zones:
1) Press *8
2) Enter Installer Code
3) Press 001
4) Enter 01-03-03-03-03-03-03-00 (01 is a delay code, 03 is instant and 00 is not used zone)
5) Press ##
Assign Delays:
1) Press *8
2) Enter Installer Code
3) Press 005
4) Enter 030-045-045-004 (This sets: Entry Delay 1=30sec, Entry Delay 2=45 seconds, Exit delay to 45 seconds and the siren cut off time at 4 minutes.
Turn Off TLM and Dialer (in this order):
1) Enter *8
2) Enter Installer Code
3) Press 015 (section for TLM)
4) Press 7
5) Press 1
6) Press # (backs up one level in menu structure)
7) Press 380 (section for dialer)
8) Press 1
9) Press # #
When I unplug the AC and battery and then replug it in. The siren does squak. I have also preformed the self test and the siren squaked for 2 seconds as it should. I have also mistakenly enabled the squak on exit feature...I read that as the panel would squak not the siren...boy that was annoying....Therefore, I know the speaker is connected correctly.
My end goal is to get the alarm working as it should (not monitored) and then go with one of the monitoring companies like Alarminc or Nextalarm or Safesmart..... However, I can't get this baby to sound off.
Thanks for any help!!!

Thanks for reading so far....
Ok, I am impatient.... I wasn't waiting for the delay to time out....not used to 45 seconds..I think it must have been 30 before....Now after waiting 45 full seconds the siren goes off..
However, I still don't have the BEEEEEEPPPPPP from the panel when you come in a delayed entry door...What parameter am I missing?
Thanks again...
Apparently after fighting with this panel all day I lost my patience....Actually you guys were "spot-on" I was using the DLS2002 software since I am in the networking/computer field I assumed that would be easier....WRONG!!!
The issue is the install manual is all around the structure of entering via the pad and the sofware has it layed out somewhat differently and uses slightly different verbage and it just gets confusing cross referencing the install manual with the software.

My first reaction is that you accidentally turned the keypad sound down or off (which you can do by pressing and holding the * key on a LED keypad); but if the door chime is sounding normally, then that's out.
As far as I can tell, there's no option that can turn off the delay zone warning tone without also turning off the door chime. There may be one buried in the software (which I don't use, so I don't have a copy to reference), but I don't think that there is. The entry delay audible warning is a _major_ anti-false alarm feature that _very_ few systems can disable.

MrRonFL,
Thanks for taking the time to assist. One other issue I didn't put in the post was I have 2 keypads (the basic ones). The one I was doing the programming was fine the other one wasn't. The "FIRE" light was lit plus the entry warning chime wasn't sounding either. I didn't put it in becase I thought it might be from one of my 100 resets :-) that I didn't re-enroll it correctly in a partition or something I was overlooking. I retired for the night, the next morning poof.....Fire light was out.....entry warning chime back on.....I did nothing (unless I was "sleep programming"). That is really weird. It almost broke me as a first time do it yourselfer on alarms. However, things really picked up and began moving in the right direction after I ditched that horrible software and just used the keypads. The software isn't that bad but the information on some of the labels in the software are slightly different that all of the info out there about how to program with a keypad so the cross reference for an amatuer is really really tough!!!
Thanks again...Next task is to decide on a monitoring company AlarmInc/Nextalarm/safehome etc... then I want to add a wireless dialer backup.....then some motion sensors etc.... but now I move at a much slower pace now that the big bang is over....
Thanks again!!!!
