Hi Everyone

I just moved into a new home. The home has an alarm system with a Control Panel that says; "Safewatch Pro 3000" panel in the basement. Nothing is wired up. No power, phone is not connected to the incoming line, keypads are all dead, no battery installed.

Must I call an Alarm professional to get this system installed or can I do it myself. I cannot find any Installation manuals online and of course my builder didn't provide me with any. I'm pretty handy and feel very confident given some documentation, I could install this myself.

Are all these installation guides protected from online searching or something cause I cant find anything.

Any help would be most welcome
Thanks
Al

It looks like your prewire was done by ADT, that's their marketing name for the Honeywell/Ademco Vista-20P.

If you search for that installer manual, you will have better luck. Look through the older posts on this forum this panel comes up very frequently, and a lot of your basic questions likely have already been covered.

Thanks for the reply. I spent quite a bite of time looking through the old posts, I just couldn't find the right info or the actual installation manuals. I'll keep looking, though.

I didn't know ADT did pre-wires. Why didn't they leave any marketing info or even a business card trying to get my account? Hmmmm...

You will not find manuals on this site. Use your favorite web search using the phrase: "Vista-20p installer manual" and you will find numerous sites that have the manual available. A couple of them are free, but most will want a nominal download fee.
