i have a Ademco 4110 xmp panel and would like to replace the old worn out keypad(6128 in think) with a new one. Question is what keypad is compatable?
is the 6150 ok?
also is there any programing involved (master and user codes, zones) in replacing the keypad or is it just remove the old one and plug in the new one?
ideally i would like to replace the old keypad with one that has alpha on it but am worried that i would have to program the desricpition into the keypad and would rather not.
please advise about compatability and alpha issue.
thanks

Usually any Ademco panels will work. The most popular now is the 6160. Usually swapping panels out requires no programming. I would suggest the 6160 since the 6150 is incapable of doing any programming.

This is the rare instance where the lesser keypad is called for. For a 4110, the fixed english keypad _is_ the programming keypad. In fact, the system will not work with the 2-line keypad at all. The Ademco website lists the 6150 as compatible.
