Hi all,
I've replaced a burnt out DSC system with a 4110xm board.
The system is running 4 zones: 1-entrydoor, 2-entrydoor,
3-motion & 4-overhead garage door.
To finish the system I had to replace two bad sensors. One was just an entry door sensor (no problems) and the other was the overhead garage door sensor. i found a guy on Ebay and bought the overhead sensor. Upon arrival I noticed his was a 4 wire sensor (black, red, blue, yellow). So this is what I did, and this is the probs I'm having:
My old sensor had only 2 wires and I only had 2 wires going back to the panel in harness. They were a red and black wire. So, when I installed the 4 wire sensor, I only used the red and black wires (and just bundled up the blue and yellow).
The problem I'm having is: Once I twist the two reds and two blacks together, then the keypad shows ready, but I don't even have the magnet installed (that's strange). Then, when I bring the magnet into range my keypad chimes (my keypad is set to chime), and shows not ready. It's basically behaving in the opposite manner that it should. Once the magnet is removed from range the chime will not sound and the keypad goes "ready". I'd appreciate any input anyone could give.

Nevermind, false alarm, I got it! Red goes to red and blue goes to black. Alls well!!
