have a pretty typical 2 story house. Unfortunately, we have no cable outlets in the 2nd floor bedrooms and our cable enters the house at ground level (into the basement) in the back.
I would really like to install a cable outlet in our master bedroom. The only way I can think to do this is to run the line up the back of the house (on the outside) and into the attic before dropping down into the bedrooms. Are there any other options available? Running a line up the side of the house is not the most attractive option.
thanks!

I did this at my house recently and I actually found one spot in my house where there was a closet above another closet. I carefully drilled a hole through the floor of each closet and ran the wire up into the attic. Then, I ran the wire down into an un-insulated part of the wall of the room I wanted cable in. It worked great. Another option is to try to snake it where your plumbing goes or even your heating ducts. That can be tricky.
I also did this with CAT5 cable so I could network my house. It turned out great.
Good luck.
