My heat pump seems to be properly, but just started buzzing intermittently (sounds like a clothes dryer buzzer) about every minute or so while the fan is running. Any thoughts on what the problem is?

If everything is running outside and you mean the outside
unit check the contactor there . They can buzz sometimes.

It ended up being my compressor. It was not working, so the heat pump would continuously try to get it to start up, causing the buzzing noise.
