Does any one know a safe and easy way to remove splattered oil base paint and some latex splatters from finished hardwood flooring?

For latex products such as Oops and Goof-Off are specifically designed for the purpose and work well. These are available at any hardware or paint store and are similar competitive products.

Oil based is a different animal since the floor's finish is likely oil based as well.If you are waxing your floors then the oil based might pop up with a razor blade or other sharp edged item which you would use almost like a pry bar to lift the drops. It's worth trying waxed or not since the gloss might lessen the paint's grip.

All removers of oil paint will remove the floor finish so do not try any paint removers etc.

If flooring has polyurethane finish, the Goof Off or Oops should work on latex splatters. You may find that vinegar/water solution and a little elbow grease might be effective depending on age of splatters. For oil-base splatters on polyurethane acetone may be effective. Poly sheds acetone like water on a duck's back. If scraping avoid damage to floor finish. Use old credit card or plastic spatula. (Note: Always test cleaners in inconspicuous place first for ill effects on finish.)
