can anyone tell me if i can fix a vcr that eats tapes

Sure you can. But it only costs $50-$60 for a new one. Probably not worth the effort. Parts will likely be required if you can find them. That could be $20. Might not work. It will keep eating tapes as test it.

My personal experience is that is not worth the cost. The part(s) will cost more than a brand new vcr.

when does it eat the tape?
(1) as it is playing it
or
(2) as it ejects it
I take it it is VHS & not Beta
