Have an RG6 cable that runs directly from the cable box outside, through the outside wall and into a room, i,e,. there's no female connector on the wall. The cable has a PPC EX6 male connector. I need to lengthen the cable by 4 feet. What's the best way to do this? Thanks in advance!

Several options. In order of how I would do it.

A) Install a coaxial wall plate on the wall that you will connect the cable from outside to, and then you can attach any size cable you want on the inside. This will also provide a more finished look.

B) Buy a coupler that you attach to the end of the cable and then connect a small cable to that.

C) Run a new cable from the box outside.

Thank you kchinth. Option #2 is more in line of what I was hoping for. I'm running the cable through the floorboard into another room so esthetics is of no concern. Is this a male/female coupler or do I have to be cut off the male connector and install it to the cable? and would you happen to know where I can purchase one? Thanks!

barrel connector , anyplace that has CATV accs should have them .

radio shack , wall mart , home depot , lowes etc
