Hi,

I am not familiar with these transmitters at all, so I've a couple of questions:

Can I wire three doors (contacts wired in series) with one 5816?

These are two zone...right? ...so can I add a wired PIR motion to the transmitter too??

My idea is to use it in a detatched garage where ugly surface wiring is not an issue. I just need to get the signal into the house where the main panel is via RF.

Any help?,

Mas

You can use external wiring, but the practical wire limit is 6-8 feet (the manufacturer will only spec about 3 feet), so if the doors are further apart, you need to use individual transmitters. (small battery has limits on the circuit length)

No you can't add a motion to the transmitter. They require 12v power as well as zone contacts. Use a separate wireless PIR.
