I am trying to install track lighting in my new condo and I can't seem to figure out the wiring. The condo has a ceiling outlet box with the following wires:
3 Green
2 Black
2 White
1 Purple
I manage to connect the track lights but unfortunately, I can't turn it off with the light switch.
I would appreciate your expert help.

My guess would be that on cable(blk/wht/purple) is a switch loop

Tell us about the wires in the switch box.
Also, is this light controlled by more than one switch?

I did more research and it is a switch loop. It has three wires connected to it: black, green, and purple. The black is top right, purple is bottom right, and green is bottom left.
I did more research and it said to connect the incoming hot (black) wire to the white neutral wire that runs to the switch. Mark the white wire at each end with black tape or black paint to indicate it is hot. Now the incoming white neutral wire is attached to the light fixture, as usual, and the black wire from the switch is connected to the light fixture. In this way, the hot wire initially bypasses the fixture, then loops through the switch and back to the fixture.
However, my question is the purple wire the neutral wire in my case?
