Lighting, Light Fixtures, Ceiling and Exhaust Fans - Ceiling Fan Switch

Hello,

I'm new here, and the whole 'Handyman' thing. Anyways I have a question about ceiling fans. I have a ceiling fan that right now that has the chain fallen out, I've opened it up and, ended up with the pull chain switch, which looks like this:

I tried to put it back in (the chain) but it's reallly hard, and i don't know how to put it back in. I was thinking to open it up, but the screws (or whatever they are called) are circler and verrry small, I don't know what tool to use. So any help would be MUCH appreciated.

PS: Might be using bad terminology and might seem pretty dumb to most 'pros', but hey, I'm new!!

The switch will unscrew from the bell. It has several wires coming from it. After you turn the power off at the circuit breaker panel, remove the switch and cut the wires, noting what color code you have, or taping a note on each wire. Take the switch to the hardware or big box store and get another one, and some orange wire nuts. Strip back the wires from the fan and attach them back, color for color the way it came off, and replace it in the bell.
Trying to fix the old one will drive you crazy.
