Hello:
I have the typical tiled and grouted bathroom shower stall.
However, over the grout, at the four ninety-degree corners, they apparently put some TRV Silicone over it. Works fine in keeping the water where it belongs, but -
The Silicone RTV there has developed some mold.
Not enough to try and scrape and remove all the Silicone RTV, but annoying.
My guess is that the mold is very, very, slightly below the actual surface.
Tried all the normal bathroom cleaners without any luck.
Any thoughts on what to try ?
Thanks,
B.

Caulk will have to be cut out, surfaces cleaned with rubbing alcohol or other solvent, and new silicone caulk installed. Mold and mildew grow on surfaces that remain damp 24-48 hours. Keep surfaces dry and clean. Mildew prone areas can be kept sprayed with disinfectant. Improve ventilation in bathroom and leave shower door/curtain open. Use chamois or squeegie to wipe down shower have using.

Shower doors or curtains look better closed but I learned years ago, that mold will form because of insufficient ventilation to dry out the shower. Now I keep it opened. Now mold only appears once every two or three years on the grout. When it does, I use bleach water from a spray bottle and let it dry overnight. The I use liquid silicone to reseal it.
Try cleaning your caulk joints if the caulking is still good with a bleach solution and reseal it the same way.
