i've got a 13" magnavox that is completely dead. When I push the power button, nothing happens. I've checked my incoming voltage at the circuit board and thats good. I've also checked the internal fuse for continuity and thats good. Also, i ohmed out the power on button and thats good. What else could I check?

There are amps and capacitors in there that probably fried, or the power supply.

I would check where the nearest dumpster is. These tube TV's are not worth fixing. I'm not trying to be harsh, just realistic.

Most people miss the simplest things to check, the power cord or outlet.

it was just a freebie, thought it might be something simple like the cord or the fuse but evidentially its not. Nothing is obviously fried that I can find. Oh well.
