I would like to add some can lights in my basement ceiling, is there a way to do this without tearing out the ceiling? I have one light in the middle of the ceiling and I would like one on either side of it, all to be controlled by the same switch.
What is the difficulty factor of a project like this?

Thanks!

It can be done with some common sence and mechanical ability.
Realy quite easy with direction.

What type of ceiling, Drop, sheetrock ,spline etc.

It is a sheetrock ceiling that is textured, I feel I am capable of this project just need a good tutorial or an online step by step guide maybe?

Howdy,

The complexity of it really depends on the ceiling and if joists are involved and which direction they run and so on.

Suggest you get a stud finder and determine the direction of the way they run and then visit us back.
