Greetings--
Electric dryer, several years old.
Recently, it is taking twice the time to dry a load of clothes.
I checked the lint trap-- clean.
I checked the vent tube-- clean.
I can feel rather hot air comming out forcefully the vent outside.
Question-- can a dryer's heating coil(s) begin to only half work -- rather than go out completely ?
Suggestions on what else to check ?

No pro, but...
Additional things to check:
Heating element
Internal ductwork
Cycling thermostat
Even though you feel hot air it could be at a low temp and the heating element could be partially burnt out.
