Entertainment Center: TVs, Stereos, VCRs and DVDs - Background noise ??

Hi, I having background sounds in our TV like another tv station is running in the background , we use the " video station " on the our TV to change stations as the TV has not got a remote control as its a pretty old machine.

When i don't use the video and change stations manually on the TV, this noise is not present at all, so i guess its something to do with video but what ??
I also have a DVD player connected up as well, the TV, the Video,and the DVD player all work fine but this constant annoying background sounds i would like to to get rid of if i can, so if anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate some help.
Oh yeah, i tried tuning in the video station but it made no differance at all.

I just thought of something that i would like ask you if its possible or not, can i use a unused button on the tv channel selection panel and tune in the video station on to that, can i do this, or what ?

I worked it out, it was the video that needed tuning in, its going great now.
