My niece recently spilled orange pop on her two piece bathing suit. Both the top and bottom of her suit are trimmed in lace. I tried soaking it in Shout and an Oxy cleaner, but had no luck removing the pop. When I tried Shout again and began to rub it in I noticed part of the lace started to unravel. I immediately stopped rubbing. Is there anything I can safely use without ruining the lace on her suit?

Thank You,

If orange drink was allowed to dry before it got rinsed out, then stain may be permanent. The orange drink contains dye. Red and orange dyes are difficult to remove. There are products in the laundry aisle called Red Out, Stain Out, or other that are touted to remove such dye stains. I believe Kool Aid has one called Kool Out. Look where they sell the Rit Dye products. In the meantime soak in ammonia and water solution to neutralize the dye. Do not agitate delicate lace trim. Do not allow to dry until you are successful or satisfied that you tried your best.
