OK, today I opened the top panel which houses the switches & timer... I noticed the A/C power in connector was black on one side, the "N" side (red/white wire)... I ohmed the wires out and found it open from the connector to the A/C plug that goes into the wall outlet... I ohm the other way and both wires (one to the timer switch & one to the pump) check good. After looking at the schematic, either I have a bad timer switch or a bad pump... The only other part in the circuit is the water level switch... I ohmed it and its shorted yellow-black (yb to L1) to brown (c) up & yb to violet (v) is open... So is v to c, it open too... This seems to be correct per the schematic - yes ??? So, should I just replace the A/C connector and plug it back in or is there anything else I should do ??? Any & all help is highly desired... Thank-you in advance... -J.R.

I ohmed out the timer switch and nothing wrong per the schematic... So I guess I need to replace the internal plastic quick disconnect A/C power connector first since its burnt and the line to the "N" side to the A/C outlet plug is open... 2nd, I guess I will replace the pump since thats where the machine stopped (died)... Also, thats where the 2nd A/C "N" line goes to besides the timer... Something had to sieze or fry to pull that muany amps to melt the A/C connector and wiring... Happy New Years all... -JR

FYI - For future reference if anyone else encounters this problem... I cut off the plastic quick disconnect connect for the A/C power in and used wire nuts instead... Yellow ones were about the correct size and held well... Stopped at the appliance parts store and got a new pump and replaced it also... When I was spinning the old pump by hand, I felt no friction or compression, so it must of shorted/fried/toasted/all the above... Ran 2 loads and all worked... Yipeeeee !!! Later...

p.s. Wonder if I should contact GE about this bad connector... Maybe it could be a fire problem someday for someone else... hmmmmmm...
