My Zenith Model Y1918W TV recently got wet while it was plugged in due to a roof leak. Now when I turn the set on it acts like it has power for about half a second and then nothing. What could be wrong? Thanks for the help.

Unplug unit
Remove case
Get yourself some can of air (stuff you use to clean computers) and spray down all the elctronics in the TV.
Let TV stand without being plugged in for a few days.
If that does not fix it, throw the TV in a dumpster. TV's of this size are not worth fixing.

"What could be wrong?"
It got wet. Electronics and water don't mix very well.
I would let it dry for several days.
I would not open the case unless you know what you are doing. TVs can deliver a powerful charge even when not plugged in.
If it doesn't work after letting it dry completely, there is nothing you can do. Time for a new TV.

After allowing the set to dry for several days, I get the same thing-when the set is switched on, it turns on for an instant and then nothing. Is there some sort of internal or external reset? The set has sentimental value so I'd like to fix it if possible. Thanks.
