Ok so here is my problem, I recently removed an old light from my kitchen so that I could install a new one, but I wasn't smart enough to see how it was wired before doing it. So now I have my new light and am not sure how to wire it. The light is in the kitchen and is controlled by two switches (one on each side of the kitchen). Now here is where I am confused, Their is 8 wires coming out of the ceiling where the light goes, 2 red wires, 2 white wire, 2 black wires and 2 ground wires. I know that I need to twist the two ground wires togethor to make one, But how do I wire all the others? Thanx for the help.

Why did you mess with any wire that was not connected to the fixture!!?

Your wire count doesn't seem right.

Open each switch. BUT DON'T DISCONNECT ANYTHING, Just look.
Then tell us what you have. Describe it as light in the middle, and switch "left" and "right"

I didn't. All I did was remove the old fixture. I didn't touch the switches at all. And their is 8 wires coming from the ceiling where the fixture goes, 2 of each color. Let me explain a little better. Here is how the wires are as of now. The 2 ground wires are twisted togethor, The 2 red wires are twisted togethor, 1 white and 1 black wire is twisted togethor, and 1 white and 1 black wire are lone and not connected to anything.

Ok ,Now all you need do,Is connect the new fixture wires to the lone black and lone white. Disconnect the power first. You don't know what position the switch is in. (blk to blk--- Wht to wht) ground bare wire to bare or green wire.

Sorry for my !!? tone... But I have had people remove 2 wires from a fixture then proceed to disconnect every splice and wire nut from the box. Why!!!?
