I moved into an 8yr old home with a MacClean Water filter/softner system that I have no idea how to use/maintain. I have a brine tank that I have added slat pellets to but I know not what to do with the neutralizer. Any Ideas?
Thanks

You can go to www.macclean.com and do the "contact us" link and give them your model no and they will send you a pdf of your manual. Or just call them. I found them very helpful.

Chances are, you will need your AN to be dumped and rebedded being that old. That is if you are using a calcite/mag-oxide media.
Your softener may need to be serviced to be assured that it is working to its fullest capacity. Get your water retested and see if there is anything else wrong that may have changed in the last few years.
