My Whirlpool (LSR7233EQ0) started acting up. At first it was filling half way, then not at all. At first I thought it was the water valve; but then I noticed that as soon as I tried to start a load,no water, but it started to start trying to wash. It should start filling up first but it doesn't.

If there's no water at all, here are some things to check for from this site:
http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_11_1.asp
"If there's no water at all, make these checks:
* Is there water getting to the machine?
* Is the water-volume selector switch set properly and are the control panel buttons pressed in all the way?
* If you have a MaytagŪ washer, is the fuse (if there is one) in the control panel at the lid-switch bracket blown?
* Is there a faint buzzing or humming noise coming from the water-inlet valve? (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If you can't hear anything, the water-inlet valve may not be getting any power. If you can hear some noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the water-inlet valve."

If I let it continue it wll go through all the cycles except getting any water. My other concern is that it starts agitating immediatly when before it would take a few moments to fill before it started running.
