I'm looking to heat the third bay of my garage. I have converted it into an art studio and would like to keep it at about 60 or 65 degrees during the winter. I have walled it off from the rest of the garage and the dimensions are 20 x 10 feet with an 11 foot ceiling. Is it better to get a separate heating unit or tie it into my houses heater somehow? Can anyone recommend a good setup to keep this room a constant temp? I need to be able to keep this room consistent for the paints and chemicals I store there, so it has to be warm day and night. I am insulating the walls and have insulated the garage door. It helps but I'm still freezing my a** off. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate the help.

We can't give you a sensible answer without knowing what type of system you use to heat the rest of the house. What fuel? Warm air or hot water? Heat pump? Is the bay you want to heat next to the house?

Thanks Ken,
I hope the following info helps.
I have a Single-Stage Induced Combustion 4-way Multipoise Furnace (Gas)
That is heating about 2000 sq feet in the house and a natural gas water heater The (unheated) two-car portion of the house is against the house but the third bay is off from that so its attached to the garage but not the house.
I appreciate your time as I am totally ignorant of how to find a solution to this.
Thanks Again
